I used a combination of stamps from all three sets to make these cards.

This Card features the new urban paper pack and some saffron card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink to make it pop.  I used the ink blob stamp set from the new annual inspirations to add some detail to the Blue B&T paper, I stamped both with black and saffron pigment ink.  This card is for my sons 8th birthday.

This card I heat embossed the sentiment "Oh Hey" then stamped the flag with our new Eggplant exclusive ink and the thanks sentiment in Black exclusive ink. I used our dimensional tape to make the sentiment stand out.   The paper seen here is a mix of the old and the new paper fundamentals.

Here are a few of the products I used,  you can find all the products used on my shopping site createbythelake.ctmh.com

#CTMHNevermore

#CTMHNevermore
This month Close to My Heart is featuring the New Halloween themed paper pack Nevermore.
I find more ideas using this paper-pack use the #CTMHnevermore to search for ideas on instagram, facebook and pinterest.
Here is what I came up with

I used some old black fundamentals and some of the new eggplant fundamentals to complement the colours in the paper pack.  The title is from the CTMH Artbooking cricut cartridge. I also love the new Steampunk Halloween stamp.  I had used the moon and witch complement stickers on another project so on this project I used the scraps and I sponged them on to my project with our sponge dubbers.  I love them because they fit on your finger and are small and easy to store.

Here is the shopping list so you can recreate this project. You can get these products and many other new products on my shopping site Createbythelake.ctmh.com

How to Books are my new favourite tool!

There are several ways I use them: sometimes to just get my creative juices flowing, sometimes to create a replica of what is shown, and then sometimes I like to mix this one and that one to make something completely new.

That is what I did for this layout. I used Make it from your Heart Volume 2.  The left side is from page 10 , pattern 3 left page.  The right is from Page 12. Pattern 4 left side but flipped to be on the right

I made the decisions of that pattern I was using based on my photos, then I looked at how to combine the two patterns and where to use which papers.

For the left instead of adding more paper along the far left side like the pattern suggests I added stamping. You could also add washi tape here as well,

On the Right side I changed the layout of the Photos to suit my photos I altered the size and orientation. I tucked in a Picture My Life card to shift the bottom photo more to the right and inline with photo above it.

Do not let the pattern restrict your artwork use it as a jumping off point for your creativity! I could uses these patterns thousands of times each time they would look a little different.

The details
