I made two projects a scrapbook page featuring my mom and my daughter Josephine and our new blossom paper & a mothers Day card with the stamp of the month. 

 I used the artist Cricut Cartridgeto cut the white pieces seen on page 71.  The layout was inspired by our idea books.

I used the Chevron Punch to add a little something bellow this photo and backed it with the teal shimmer trim.  I backed the Carnival washi tape with white card-stock so that it popped

Here is my card.  I used the April Stamp of the Month in the Smoothie ink.  I twisted the paper befor i stamped it to give dimension and then used the 3D foam tape to pop it up.

I am so in love with the new Jackson Paper Pack, I love the versatility and that it is so great for our many photos of the us at the lake.

When I read this months blog hop theme I thought it was perfect until I started creating and wanted to show off all my new goodies.

So I went to the Annual Inspirations book and the secondary layout for the pathfinding WOTG jumped out at me, right then I knew I was going to use that as my pattern to work from.

When I started cutting the pieces I originally had used only Jackson paper, the juniper in the aztec paper reminded me of the wood-grain on the seaside paper so I added a twist and replaced the jackson paper with seaside.

Here you can see some of the embellishments I used, When I saw the compliments for the Jackson PP it reminded me of the My Crush Wildwood assortment Seen in the Annual Inspirations Book on Page 153. I dug it out and sure enough some of the pieces had the same designs.  I used the Picture my Life cards in jackson for the title and then I cut a few up for embellishments as well. 

 I also was testing out my new cuttle bug with the wood-grain embossing folder (page 179.) on Cocoa card stock, I love the way it brings in the cabin feel.  

 

Check out the hidden journalling box, I used the new authentic life stamp, and the Jackson WOTG stamp to embellished it along with the file folder tab from the My Crush Wildwood assortment.

I fell in love with the Hopping by stamp from the current seasonal expression catalogue, so I knew as soon as the the anouncment was made for the Easter theamed hop that I would be using this stamp.  I have also been waiting for the right project to try the ever popular pop up exploding box card.  

I used the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge pocket card function to decorate the outside, the grass is cut from the CTMT Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.

 I used the grass cut again under the cars

the egg and the clouds are cut form the CTMH Artiste Cricut.

the cars for the chick and bunny are stamped on and then fussy cut out of the Hopscotch paper that is only available till the end of this month.

My favourite stamp from Seasonal Expressions 1 is the Assorted Edges D1635 seen on page 16.
I recreated the layout seen on that page to show case the stamp as well as the limited time stuck on you puffies. I used the new card-stock colours that came out in the fall, Thistle, Glacier, & Canary with a touch of Hollyhock, and Pear.  I backed the squares with black and whisper fundamentals card-stock and distressed the edges.

The star-burst was cut using my Cricut and the Close To My Heart Artfully Sent Cartridge.  insider tip the recipes including the Cricut cuts for pages seen in the catalogues are on your consultants web-store under the idea book tab.

I also used the you your the Bomb stamp set seen on the back  cover. When you purchase this stamp set $3 goes to operation smile, a great organization.

This Creative Blog Hop is a way to have an ongoing, never-ending hop that introduces you to other creative crafters and broaden our list of blog artists.What a fun way to expand your eye candy!So the way this works is a answer a few questions about myself and pass you along to the next talented creative person at the end. On with the questions.... 

What am I working on now?

Right now I am mainly working on keeping my scrap-booking supplies organized while in the process of moving. I have started to work on some home-made Christmas cards to sell . I also have an ongoing scrapbook for each of my kids. 

As Chris mentioned my many hats I also have started a photography business. I have been overwhelmed with interest in the small town we have moved to Kenora Ontario. 

How does my work differ from others in my genre?

I don't think what I create in the end is different from others. I like my photos to shine that is what I focus on when I create my pages,  I like to recreate ideas I have seen, always giving credit back to the original creator. 

Why do I create?

I love crafts, I have my whole life. My Mom can tell you about the dream houses I use to draw on stacks of white paper. She was always trying to get me to purge my craft stuff.   I scrapbook to preserve my family memories, and let my kids know what I was thinking when they were little.

How does my creative process work?

I like to pick my photos first before I pick my paper and crop them before I choose a layout to do.  My main focus is to make the photos shine. The paper or embellishment are there to help tell the story but not be the focus.  That must be from the photographer in me.
